The Celestial Gathering

By Keana Specht

The immaculate display across the expansive sky took Cynthia’s breath away as she strode through her small suburban neighborhood. With her iPod in hand and music pouring into her ears, Cynthia danced along the streets of her childhood home, happy and free. As her body flew down the street as if she had wings on her back, she feels freer than she had ever felt, yet she carried a heavy pain but still flies. She whisks along to the beat of her own drum.

The symphony of Cynthia’s soul sung a melodious tune. She feels at peace, and she feels at home, but mostly when she is not at home. Cynthia tried to push yesterday’s events away from memory. Forgetting never worked for young Cynthia. Facing her trauma is what she planned to do this afternoon, but her state was disconnected and sparkly. She let her childhood imagination take control. Instead of letting her feet hit the ground in one solid flow, she lifts them and lets them fly into higher dimensions. Sparkles gathered before Cynthia like a light show. She tripped over her feet, and she fell to the ground.

When Cynthia awakes, she is in a field of flowers and plush green grass. The sky is completely purple, pink, and bright orange. She feels a surge of pain in her side and cries out, then she is flying with the wind, colors gripping her side with healing power. Reaching the top of the clouds, Cynthia is in a cloud-haven-like state, above the clouds, away from her complicated life and her trauma. Suddenly, two hoverboards appeared before Cynthia. She takes a deep and then she is suddenly on a hoverboard. Cynthia looks next to her and sees a light-filled creature smiling at her.

“Hi, I am Sora! I am here to help guide you through higher dimensions!”

Cynthia is reeling but somehow trusts this immaculate, sparkling figure and lets Sora guide her through the beautiful glow of this clandestine landscape and kaleidoscope of color. Cynthia is not acclimated to a hoverboard at all as she has never been on one and flips upside down and back to right side up again. Sora’s laugh vibrates through the air and turns the silence into a symphony.

“You will get your bearings soon, my love; it’s not every day someone is whisked off to higher dimensions for an afternoon,” Sora said.

Cynthia finally got to her feet and coughed, also managing to let out a laugh. Gliding on the air is what Cynthia has always dreamed about, why not just go with the flow now? Cynthia looks over at Sora and realizes she is not a normal human; she is made of light and colors. Nothing really made sense to Cynthia; it was as if she was stuck in the middle of an intense dream state, but she knew this was all real. The last thing she remembers is flowing down the street listening to her music, feeling euphoric and now she would not be able to explain this when she got home. Cynthia felt misunderstood most of her life.

Sora soared near Cynthia and put an ethereal hand on her shoulder. Flying above her like Tinker Bell, Sora reaches into Cynthia’s chest cavity and touches her heart. Cynthia’s heart center starts glowing green, and she feels peace and love instead of thoughts of trauma from the day before, and so she can ascend higher with Sora.

“Child love is the only thing that you can hold on to right now.”

Cynthia smiled and felt exactly what Sora meant in her healed heart center. Excited to ascend higher, Cynthia starts to hear a chorus of sounds like a celestial choir. The sounds and music get deeper and seep into her soul. Both Sora and Cynthia turn into pure light and flow around to the music and sounds and go to a higher light portal.

Past the 9th dimension, you must be pure light to enter and exit. As they flow up higher, they spin until they reach the 12th dimension. The most celestial dimension Cynthia has ever been in.

Finally, they come to the gates to enter this dimension in the clouds. The gates and all around them display clouds and bright sparkles; the light was much more than the now lowly earth could hold. Sora and Cynthia were both pure white and blue light. A security guard is staffing the main gate to the meeting place. As they approach the gate, Sora and Cynthia shift—white and blue light dissolving into form—evolving into higher selves attuned to the twelfth dimension, where the human body no longer exists just the soul does. The guard smiles and opens the gate without speaking or making any judgements.

“We have been waiting for you, child.”

Cynthia beamed as she flows through the pearly gates. A familiar feeling surges through her bones as she flies up and around the celestial clouded dimension. She moves next into a luminous chamber where a living screen unravels before her—every past life, and every timeline she has ever lived unfurls before her in light and shadows. She watches in quiet wonder as light presses against her soul, pressing against the veil, as if asking to finally be let through. Cynthia gasps as she feels a rush of memory pouring through her crown chakra.

As all of this is happening, a wondrous group of light beings are flying effortlessly in front of Sora and Cynthia. Cynthia gasps as a giant creature flies toward her. A beautiful purple and golden dragon emerge before her. The dragon moves closer to Cynthia, the closer it gets the more Cynthia feels love in her heart center.

“You remember,” the dragon said, its voice echoing its power through the cosmos.

“I don’t understand,” Cynthia whispered shyly.

“You are not here to escape your life. You are here to remember your true power, beyond all limitations,” the dragon said brightly.

The words that the dragon spoke stir emotions in Cynthia, and the center of her heart buzzes with energy. Around the dragon, angels of light gather in a grand celestial circle. Some angels appear as humans, others as winged creatures and others that were animals. Angels of all kinds. Light and sound rapidly fill the chamber. The music that moves through this dimension is not something to hear with the ears, but with the soul. The dragon unfolded its beautiful, encapsulating wings and revealed galaxies of light shining on each golden scale.

“Every soul who chooses to walk earth encounters trials and shadows.” Said the dragon as he bows his head in reverence. “Your pain is not your identity; it is only part of your beautiful expansive story.”

Cynthia felt tears beg in her eyes and fell down her face.

“But it hurts.”

“We know.”

The angels said the obvious, but these words simply broke something open inside of Cynthia’s heart center yet again and she feels a warm vibration pulsing through her.

For the first time, she feels at home and loved.

The angelic gathering surrounds her with light. Each light being places a thread of light into Cynthia’s heart not to erase her past or her memories but to weave them into her reality safely. The angels made this something that she can carry without being burdened by it.

Sora brightly smiles beside Cynthia.

“This is why we brought you here. We do not want you to forget your pain, we want you to remember your light has always been greater than your darkness.”

The fluffy clouds beneath Cynthia's feet start to vibrate and sparkle as a doorway of white light appeared before her eyes.

“It is time to go home.” The dragon says.

“Will I see you again?” Cynthia asks excitedly.

The dragon smiles and nods.

“You will see us in your dreams, whenever you need us.”

At that moment, the light of the white door expands and blows up and makes everything pure white. Cynthia wakes up on the sidewalk in her neighborhood, headphones on her neck playing the last song she remembers hearing. For a moment she wonders if this experience was all just a dream but then she looks down. A single sparkling iridescent feather shimmered in every color of dawn in her hand.

She smiles. The memories that normally beg at her heart were still there, but they no longer have her in bondage. Cynthia walks home without a heavy heart and frolics like it is her first day on earth. Unseen by any human eye in the heavens, Sora and the dragon watch her disappear down the street.

“The child remembers.” Sora says softly.

The dragon smiles.

“And this is just the start of her story.”
